Giảm thời gian rebuilding file trong IDM

Bạn thường sử dụng phần mềm Internet Download Manager (IDM) để download các phần mềm, bộ phim HD về máy tính. Tuy nhiên bạn cảm thấy mất khá nhiều thời gian cho quá trình rebuilding các gói download.

 

Thật ra khi bạn download một file trên mạng internet về tùy theo thiết lập số lượng kết nối mà file đó được chia ra bấy nhiêu phần bằng nhau, sau khi quá trình download hoàn tất IDM sẽ nối chúng lại với nhau. Quá trình đó được gọi là rebuilding. Quá trình này khá mất thời gian nếu file có dung lượng lớn, nếu máy có cấu hình trung bình hoặc thấp thì chẳng những thời gian rebuilding lâu mà còn khiến bạn không thể thao tác trên máy trong thời gian rebuilding.

Để xử lý vấn đề trên bạn chỉ cần thực hiện 2 bước thiết lập sau:

 

1. Vào menu Options của IDM, chọn thẻ connect. Tại đây, bạn giảm số lượng kết nối xuống còn 1, mục đich là ngăn không cho IDM chia nhỏ file được tải về, làm như thế sẽ cắt giảm được công đoạn nối file của IDM. Bạn đừng lo thiết lập này làm giảm tốc độ tải file của bạn vì toàn bộ băng thông của mạng sẽ tập trung vào 1 kết nối thay vì nhiều kết nối.

2. Cũng tại giao diện Options này, bạn chuyển sang tab Save to. Tại đây bạn thiết lập 2 tùy chọn cho thư mục chứa file tải về và thư mục file tạm (2 thư mục này cùng chung một phân vùng ổ cứng). Mục đich này là cắt thời gian move file từ thư mục file tạm của IDM (thường là ổ C) sang thư mục bạn chọn sau khi download.

 

Từ giờ bạn sẽ cảm nhận được quá trình download nhanh hơn nhờ đã cắt giảm 2 quá trình nối file và move file. Với 2 thiết lập này chủ yếu là dành cho hoạt động Windows nên sẽ không ảnh hưởng đến chất lượng file tải về.
